Emtjets' research projects a positive yet hesitant growth characterises for the future Air Cargo market. World Air Cargo traffic grew 12 percent in 2004 relative to 2003, only to slow markedly in 2005, expanding just 2 percent over year 2004. Much of this recent deceleration in Air Cargo can be attributed to the rise in jet fuel prices since late 2004. Despite this slowdown, world traffic levels have expanded 3.1 percent during the first half of 2006 relative to 2005, and interest in new freighter aircraft is still on the increase.
