‘Empty leg’  flights, also known as ‘dead head’ flights are the flights that are booked for one-way journey and often have to return to their starting point empty. But, flying an aircraft empty is not a wise decision for any aircraft owner; hence, in order to fill the empty space on returning aircraft, they would rather take someone back at discounted fees. The charges can even go lower than what you would pay on a commercial flight.

 Whenever you are planning to have a private jet charter for your company or for your personal use and if you don’t mind saving, you must ask your broker for arranging an empty leg flight for you. It is not always that you will get an empty leg flight for your destination but it is worth asking for. (more…)
